Competition Rules

11th - 15th August 2014 // 5 Days over 5 of Britains Finest Championship Courses

The Inaugural Southport Coast Links Championship is a 72 hole Mens Amateur Stableford competition, the top 8 players overall and the 4 winners from each day will compete in the Grand Final 5th day at Royal Birkdale Golf Club (if any of the winners from the 4 days finish in the top 8 overall then the players finishing 9th, 10th etc will qualify). All non qualifiers will play in another 18 Hole Stableford at Southport & Ainsdale.

The Overall winner will win a £500 Voucher and will be presented with the Southport Coast Links Champion trophy. Each day there will be Individual Prizes of a £200 Voucher for the winner, £100 for 2nd, £50 for 3rd place and also a team competition with four combined scores counting.

The Presentation Dinner will take place on Friday 15th August 2014 (venue to be confirmed) All entrants must be amateurs and members of recognised golf clubs, or affiliated to their country’s governing body, and must hold an active CONGU handicap. Handicap certificates and/or entrants CDH number must be provided upon registration. Entrants must be over the age of 18 upon entry. Maximum handicap is 24.

Team competition – competitors must enter individually but may nominate a team at the time of their entry. Each team will comprise of 4 golfers.

Please note: No player can win more than £500 voucher during the week.

Cancellations made by 1st April 2014 will be given a full refund; by 11th July 2014 will be given a 50% refund, and after this date no refund can be given.
