Welcome to The Southport Coast Links Championship. This outstanding 5 day Amateur stableford Mens Championship is played over 5 of Britain's Finest courses. The winner will win a £500 voucher and The Southport Coast Links Trophy.
Each competitor will play 5 rounds of golf Monday to Friday for £459 (a saving of £300 on green fees at peak time of the year).
The Overall winner will win a £500 Voucher and will be presented with The Southport Coast Links Championship Trophy.
Each day there will be Individual Prizes.
The Presentation will take place at Hillside Golf Club on the Thursday All entrants must be amateurs and members of recognised golf clubs, or affiliated to their country's governing body, and must hold an active CONGU handicap. Handicap certificates and/or entrants CDH number must be provided upon registration. Entrants must be over the age of 18 upon entry. Maximum handicap is 18.
Please note: No player can win more than £500 voucher during the week.
Cancellations made by 1st February will be given a full refund; by 1st May will be given a 50% refund, and after this date no refund can be given.
The competition is qualifying for handicap purposes and your scores will go back to you club after each round.
TRANSPORTATION POLICY
Transportation
Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorised by the committee.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: See Rules of Golf, page 160.
WHO MAY USE A GOLF BUGGY
2.1.
It shall be a condition of any competition organised and managed by the Championship that players must walk at all times during a stipulated round, unless permitted to ride by a member of the Committee, in accordance with the Transportation Policy. The penalty for a breach of this condition is detailed under the specimen Condition on page 142 of the 2012-2015 Rules of Golf as published by R&A Rules Limited.
2.2.
A golf buggy may be used by a player who:
(a) can provide a valid medical certificate of disability in accordance with this Policy;
(b)has requested permission to use a golf buggy by the closing date for that competition;
and/or(c) has obtained written permission to use a golf buggy from [a member of] the Committee
7 days in advance of play or,if this advance permission is not possible ,on the day of proposed play.
